Côté Gold was proud to attend the “Mining 2030: Unearthing Ontario’s Potential” event at Science North, hosted by the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC).
The Mining 2030 report outlines the urgent actions needed to strengthen Ontario’s leadership in the global critical minerals economy and highlights key policy choices that will shape the province’s long term competitiveness.
We were proud to see Krista Maydew, IAMGOLD’s VP of External Affairs, and a founding member of the OCC’s Mining Policy Council featured as one of the event’s panelists, sharing insights on the opportunities and challenges ahead for the sector. Krista also highlighted the role of gold in Ontario’s mining ecosystem, the importance of building Indigenous partnerships founded on trust and mutual respect, and examples of how IAMGOLD and Côté Gold have put this into action.
