We were proud to once again sponsor Mattagami First Nation’s Annual Pow-Wow this summer. Several Côté Gold staff attended this important community event, where they got to learn, connect and participate in honouring the traditions and rich heritage of this Indigenous partner.
Mattagami First Nation is among the Indigenous communities IAMGOLD has been partnering with since we started working on the Côté Gold mine. This long-established relationship began in 2012, when IAMGOLD first started the development process for Côté Gold, well before construction began in 2020.
